Reviews from our guests

  • We just stayed at the Wild Fig retreat for one week and we really fell in love with this place. It's such a peaceful area with a lot to explore. We did take long walks and even a little hike just next to the wild fig and there is a lovely town with a mini market and an amazing restaurant from which you can see the beautiful sunset. Our hosts Amy and Kostas were welcoming, caring and helpful at any time. They are really building up something special here. We're sad to leave and looking forward to hopefully come again sometime.

  • I just spent two weeks at Wild fig and it changed my life. It's very private and secluded, and I felt rejuvenated and refreshed each morning as I woke to the sound of cicadas and the sheep. Yes, sheep! I came here to figure some things out in my life and the beauty did not disappoint. Amie and Kosta are terrific, took me to secret beaches and hidden local eateries. I am definitely coming back and bringing friends. It's an experience of a lifetime.

  • At Wild Fig Retreat you can find a oasis of peace: only surrounded by olive trees, sheep and the endless starry sky at night. The apartments are lovingly decorated and the hosts Amy and Kostas are wonderful and friendly people with a big and sunny heart. If the world weren't so big and if there wasn't so much to discover, we would come back every year :-)

A truly unique location

We are located in the northwest part of Zakynthos, about ten minute drive to Porto Vromi, where you can visit the famous Navagio (or Shipwreck Beach) and the Blue Caves.

Our unique villa is nestled in a wild and green valley, surrounded by ancient forests, with no other hotel, home or development in sight. We love our exquisite views and sunset, and so will you.

Nothing great is created suddenly, any more than a bunch of grapes or a fig. If you tell me that you desire a fig. I answer you that there must be time. Let it first blossom, then bear fruit, then ripen.
